Research Project Manager
As a Project Manager in the Kruer Lab, I work in collaboration with project teams to facilitate and support project goals. For the Genetic Causes of Cerebral Palsy (GCCP) study, I oversee specimen collection and processing of samples for whole exome sequencing, to identify genes associated with Cerebral Palsy. I am also involved in the Gene Discovery project, which aims to identify genes associated with rare pediatric movement disorders. For these gene-specific projects, I assist with development and completion of project goals, data analysis and manuscript preparation, and work with collaborating researchers to collect specimens, clinical data and regulatory information as needed. I also lead efforts to improve management of research study data and optimization of data collection tools and study databases.
